Half A Riddle
There's a run-down road going nowhere,
A stream, a log and a cup.
There's a house whose window
I can't look into,
And a door that is always shut.
The clock is ticking silently,
She stands at the top of the stairs.
She looks, smiles, waves and says 'Yes'.
In the morning she's not there.
And I've been having bad dreams,
The night goes on too long.
I've been having bad dreams,
The light is always on.
