Just Another Night Out
Out with the boys,
Plenty of elbow, plenty of noise.
Then there she is, she's looking at you.
Her hair is quite blonde,
Her eyes are well, blue.
She's a friend of a friend,
That breaks the ice.
We talk the same language,
Live the same life.
We go for a slow dance,
Laugh at our jokes;
The records get faster,
We're still in a grope.
The place is real crowded, but
There's only two on the floor.
She gives you her number,
You know the score.
But it isn't just that,
It's, well, something more.
It's her place next week,
Family tea and discussions.
'I work in computers,
I don't fear the Russians.'
The talk washes over,
Your hands always touching.
Then in a corner
Of dull conversation.
'I'd like you to wake up to.'
And Tony loves Mary, true.
