Night and Sun
'What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?'
Men of reason, beware.
Night, the night, the night and the sun,
Night, night and sun.
Eyes like claws
In the dark,
You're no more
Left your mark.
'Tiger! Tiger! Burning bright
In the forests of the night.'
Night, the night, the night and the sun,
Night, night and sun.
The red-hot sun,
The red-hot sun of the blackest night.
The red heat of death, the red heat of death.
'The harlot's cry from street to street,
Shall weave old England's winding sheet.
And did those feet in ancient times
Walk upon England's jungle?'
The cheetah runs,
The lion prowls,
But the tiger is
While the jackal howls,
While the jackal howls.
Night, the night, the night and the sun,
Night, night and sun.
Stalking the forests of the mind,
Entering the outskirts of reason.
Animal, fear, night, night and sun.
The black heat of death,
The black-hot night.
The red heat of death,
No more night, no more sun,
No more, no more, none.
