Playing For The School Team
I wore the colours
Of the school once,
And I was very proud.
The singing of the pupils,
The teachers in the crowd.
Well there wasn't many really,
Maybe five or six;
But I was there at Wembley,
With the TV and my tricks.
Now as the days grow shorter,
My memories still run loud,
Of Peter, George and Mary,
And one-eyed Mr. Howard.
Yes, I wore the colours
Of the school once,
And I was very proud.
