The army marched towards the small outpost, ready to tear the inhabitants to pieces. The soldiers were equipped with the best equipment possible, and were ready for anything that got in there way.
The leader of this group of 96 soldiers was Captain Renboldt. He was a famous captain in many ways. He was known for his prowess in battle, as well as his tendency to disobey orders. Nevertheless, he is a renowned veteran of war.
The wars that had occured in the Universe of Arcana was nothing compared to the current war. The captain was told to infiltrate the outpost, which only held about 50 troops and claim it for the country.
The army belonged to Murdoni, the largest country in Arcana, controlling several planets. The army made thier way up the slightly steep hill, and then, they saw the outpost. It was a small fort-like structure, showing signs of wear.
The captain turned around to face his men, who stood ready for the captain's orders. Renboldt cleared his voice, and then...
" Men, today we are here to take this outpost as our own, to show Dalgaria that we are stronger then we looked. We will defeat Delgaria! We do not need to use tactics, for this is a simple mission. Just march right in and defeat the bastards!", Renboldt said, without stopping for a breath.
The men before the captain shouted a battle cry and then
rushed into battle. They were armed with plasma rifles and secondary needleguns. One of the sentries posted on the walls of the outpost must have noticed, because he rang a bell, and the Delgarian troops rushed forward out of the outpost. At that time, both countries assumed their war was the largest of all time.

The farmer and his wife never expected anything like this. Mr. Buckinhowser walked towards he unidentified object that had, out of nowhere, crashed in his backyard. His wife, Elena Buckinhowser, was watching him from the back porch.
Mr. Buckinhowser saw something so strange that night... It seemed to be an escape pod of some sort. Any one else would have recognized it as an escape pod, but Richard and his wife chose to live a different life, away from technology.
Richard pressed the button on the outside, opening the pod, revealing a heavily armored organism. Richard decided to touch the being, which was a big mistake. The being suddenly grabbed Richard's hand and sliced it off. Richard couldn't identify what sliced his hand off, but he screamed.
Elena, watching from the porch, rushed inside and called the local police. By the time they got there, Elena and Richard were dead, and the being was gone.

Renboldt was having a fun time. He dodged the attacker, and then, with his needlegun shoved some darts into the soldier, causing him grab his wounded side, giving Renboldt a chance to end him. The captain shot darts into the man's face, which crushed his eyes, and caused him to wail like a new-born baby.
Renboldt ignored the dying man and continued to attack the soldiers. The battle did not last, it was over in minutes. Of course, the Murdonians won. Renboldt surveyed the surviving soldiers, and counted 46 remaining.
Renboldt ordered a group of men to go inside, and check out the outpost. He sighed and took out his transmitter. He pressed a button on the side.
" Hey, this is Captain 1046, and I have completed my mission succesfully. Over.", Renboldt explained into the transmitter.
" Renboldt, you've got new orders. We're sending a airship to pick you up and bring you back to headquarters. We'll send some men to occupy the outpost as well. Over.", someone replied.
Renboldt could recognize the voice. It was General Dugori, a rival of his.
" Alright, I'll be waiting. End transmission.", Renboldt said into the transmitter.
Renboldt leaned against the outpost wall and waited.
