Happy Independence Day

It’s the day to celebrate, the freedom of our motherland.
The day to rejoice, the day to enjoy and
To remember the country for once,
Not feeling ashamed by the way it runs.
Corruption seems to be the meaning of independence out here,
Where bribery is taken as an act of pride rather than fear.
Money is what which is running the country for now,
Everyone’s self esteem on an ever so low.
A country full of poverty, a country full of malnourished,
A country full of deceit, a country full of things unwished.
Politicians minting money in their five years of reign,
The money of the poor common man, earned through a lot of pains.
Everyone working to steal what the other has got,
Trying to bring the other down no matter what!
Yet I wish a very happy independence day,
To the family of those,
Who lost their lives in the race to make this country free,
To those who nurtured the country like their own baby.
To those who believe that this is the country where they belong,
To those who believe to bring a change won’t take long.
The time has come and we should realise what the country actually needs,
It’s the time for the youth to stand up and lead.
To make India what it deserves, to make India what it should have been twenty years ago,
“An educated India,
A wealthy India,
A self groomed India,
A self content India.” The voices to eco.
Hope to see a change in the near future,
Hope to be the change in the near future.
Hope to see the youth to lead from the front,
Hope to see an India which is ever so brilliant.
‘Hope’ that’s all I can do on this Independence Day,
To see a better India on display,
