Black and White

Staring at the emptiness
through tear-stained eyes.
Out of the corner
out of the shadows
I thought I saw you
come to save me.
Fidgeting uneasily
my brain soaked in drivel.
I wish you were near me
but you are away
in a better place.
I’m on my own
as I grow too old.
Miss you, kissing me
softly on my cheek
So I’m running
I’m screaming
as you follow me in
purring reassuringly.
You help me to swim
in the sea of my pity.
The pit where I think
I scream at the anger
at all the destruction
Wait for the second coming
Of you in body
with black and white hair
caring and waiting
at the top of the stair.
When I cry and I need you
you are always there
And today
I stare at the stars
look at your light
In the dark night sky.
I say that I miss you
how things are strange
I know you’re gone
but you’re still alive.
I hear you cry
like a baby in the night
searching forever
I know what I’ll find.
Nothingness
that’s forever without you.
Sometimes I feel us together
your ghost still haunts me
I hope it’s forever.
Every time I see you
You keep me together
The years pass quickly
I remember you dearly.
A guardian angel in heaven
to warn me of trouble
As I climb to my death
I’ll join you forever
and keep us together
I still miss you
and I’ll never love
like I love you.
If everything was black and white
this would be a beautiful life
