Into Your Eyes

The electricity fades to black.
Gently, my eyes open, breath slowly leaves me.
We are left alone now but drifting apart.
Moments before, together as one.

Tears roll down the mirror.
Rest on our lips, last gasp of connection.
Neither believe this will be our last.
Our hearts can’t lie as love tears us apart.

Our eyes break the spell, we part.
Souls drain as the darkness takes my heart.
