The Cat and The Kite (Children's Poem)
Once, a cat, he caught a kite
but got his tail entangled;
the wind blew hard and the kite took flight
while the poor cat just dangled.
“Oh, put me down! Oh, put me down!”,
the pussycat miaowed
as the kite flew over fields and towns
then up above the clouds.
The kite flew right up to the stars
and the moon queen dressed in silk
but the kind moon queen said, “There you are”
and gave him a saucer of milk.
Grandma’s House (Children’s Rhyme)
As I was going to grandma’s house,
by chance, I met a little brown mouse.
I said, “My grandma has some cheese
and you may have some if you please”.
So the mouse came too but after that,
by chance, I met a little black cat.
I said, “My grandma has a fish
and you may have it if you wish”.
So then the cat, me and the mouse;
we all went to my Grandma’s house
and the mouse had cheese
and the cat had fish
and I had cake on a silver dish.
