- There are two baskets, a yellow basket and a green basket.
- In the green basket are TWO Easter eggs. In the yellow basket is ONE Easter egg.
- Problem: How do you, only moving TWO eggs at a time, get all the eggs into the GREEN basket? It sounds simple doesn’t it but try moving the eggs backwards and forwards between the baskets and you’ll discover that, though its simple to get three eggs into the Yellow basket it’s very hard to get three eggs into the Green basket.
Remember: Though you may move the eggs as you wish, you cannot move one egg on its own nor can you move more than two eggs at a time.
Solution: Take one of the eggs from the green basket and the egg that is in the yellow basket out of their baskets and lay them together on the ground; you have only moved two eggs, now pick them both up and place them in the green basket.
