A Fairy World

A bluebell, it is a fairy cup.
From bluebells fairies, on dewdrops, sup.
On toadstools they all sit down to dine
and drink up dewdrops like fairy wine.

 

And when all their fairy food is gone
from petal plates that they eat upon;
of fairy wine, when they've had their fill,
they dance among all the daffodils.

 

And when those fairies have danced all day,
in peapod beds then their children lay,
hang up their wings and things for the night
and within fairy dreams they take flight.

 

So little girl rest your gentle head
just like those fairies tucked up in bed
close both your eyes and then you shall see
a fairy world will appear to thee.
