Guess Who?

When it’s December 24th,
from his home far off in the north,
who comes delivering his gifts
to open on the 25th?
When snow falls down, all soft and white;
we sing carols by candlelight
and children play at snowball fights,
who's sleigh flys swiftly through the night?
When crackers bang and bells are rung
and prickly holly wreathes are hung
and tinsel glistens on the tree,
who slides down chimneys cheerily?
Why, it’s Father Christmas of course;
otherwise known as Santa Clause,
with long, white whiskers; suit of red;
white bobbled hat upon his head;
gold buckled belt; big boots of black
and tons of toys inside his sack.

Hi well-wisher,
this is such a well written, warm poem. Brings such
joy to read, even though it is for children.
Thanks for the read.
Jenny.
