so that they don't become a snack
for foxes, birds or other beasts
who would, upon the hedgehog, feast.

 

Although their tummies are not pricklish.
Infact, they're rather soft and ticklish
and thats why, its upon their tummies,
that they are kissed by hedgehog mummy's
