We met infront of Marx’s tomb;
watched the October setting sun;
gazed up as stars rose from the gloom.
I chose a star, said “You’re that one”.
And then we kissed and raised a fist
against greeting card imperialists,
who think they’ve got a monopoly on love
and my heart felt like Yuri Gagarin above
when he said, “I see the Earth. It is so beautiful”.

Great stuff - I really like
Great stuff - I really like this. The image of standing in front of Marx's tomb (one of my favourite spots in London), kissing and raising your fist against greeting card imperialists is brilliant.
For those who have never been there - it's in Highgate cemetery which is one of the 'must see' places in London.
