Once there was a Prince of a kingdom of perpetual night.
It had not always been a kingdom of perpetual night but had been cursed by an evil witch named Vorvia and could only be uncursed if its prince, named Allano found and married the Perfect Princess.
If the truth be known, the Prince did not want to marry any princess because he was already in love with a girl named Bellette who was a servant in his household but he felt a sense of loyalty and duty to his kingdom and so he agreed to marry whoever he had to to save it.
But who should he marry?
In desperation, the Prince appealed to Nathanna the half sister of the evil witch who was a good witch.
"What is the perfect Princess?", he asked her, "Where do I find her?".
Nathanna said that she could not tell him that but she gave him a magic ring that would glow if he ever found the perfect princess.
"And if there is any other help you need", she added, "Just say my name".
And so the Prince travelled the world searching for the perfect princess.
And at first he thought, "The Perfect Princess must be the richest and most powerful" and so he travelled far North to see the richest and most powerful princess in all the world; a princess named Ursylis who ruled her cold, icy country like a King and, appearing before her in a very humble fashion, he told her of the sad story of his kingdom and begged her to try on the ring.
But when she did try on the ring it did not glow at all.
"She cannot be the perfect Princess", he thought.
Unfortunately Ursylis was quite angry that she was not the perfect princess and had the Prince locked in a dungeon.
But then the Prince merely said the name "Nathanna" and the bars on the window of his dungeon bent apart so that he was able to escape.
Then he continued with his quest, heading East this time.
"Perhaps the perfect Princess is the most refined and elegant", he thought.
And so he travelled to a country of silks and spices where a princess called Elizabelle lived who was famous for being the most refined and elegant princess in all the world.
But when, appearing before the princess, he told her of his kingdoms sad predicament and begged her to try on the ring, just as before, when she slipped it upon her finger the ring did not glow.
"She cannot be the perfect princess either", he thought.
But Elizabelle felt quite offended by the suggestion that she was not a perfect princess and she had the prince locked in an elegant golden cage.
And so, again, the Prince called out the name 'Nathanna' and, the good witch helping him a second time, he vanished from inside the cage.
"If it is not wealth and power or elegance that makes the perfect princess", he thought, "Then it must be physical beauty".
And so he travelled far South to a land where a princess called Sharanne lived who was legendary for being the most beautiful woman in all the world.
But, just as before, when he put the ring upon her finger it did not glow.
"Though beautiful as all the skies of Summer", he thought, "She cannot be the perfect princess either".
Unfortunately, when Sharanne discovered she was not the perfect princess, her beautiful face turned ugly with rage and she ordered that the Prince be taken away and beheaded but the prince called out the name Nathanna and once more the good witch saved him, this time giving him golden wings to soar above the guards and high over palace walls to safety.
But the prince was not happy for he had travelled all around the world and yet had still not found the Perfect Princess who could save his kingdom.
So he went to see Bellette, the woman that he loved and poured out his heart to her.
"I wish I didn't have to do this", he said, "Because theres only one person I want to be my princess and thats you. No matter what anyone says, you'll always be my perfect princess".
And saying that, he put the ring upon her finger just as a sign of his love.
But then, to the Princes amazement, the ring started to glow brightly; infact as bright as any star and he heard the good witch whispering, "The Perfect Princess is the one that you truly love".
And so the Prince and Bellette were married and she became a princess and when she did the curse of perpetual night was broken and the sun rose again over their kingdom and though she may not have been every persons idea of the Perfect Princess or he everyones idea of the Perfect Prince, they were perfect in the eyes of each other and so they lived happily ever after.

Perfect Princess
A very simple elegant story. Every man should see his wife as the perfect princess. I surely do.
