I still remember the 5th of November
when I was a child, long ago;
its flames are embers but when I remember
those 5th of Novembers still glow.
2.
I can still see them; those rockets set free, then
I hear them scream up to the sky;
much higher than mountains; exploding in fountains;
the bright fireworks gone by
Chorus:
And I could fly as high;
as high as a firework
and touch the sky with my;
my mittened hands.
Saw fires fade and die
but I knew I never would.
I'd rise again just like
the frostbitten land.
3.
Time is a rocket; from a slow tick-tock, it
suddenly flies by and you're old
but every flames frozen; my eyes, when I close them
can still see those fountains of gold.
4.
So Children, please treasure those moments of pleasure,
the sparkle and shine in your eyes.
Life's gone in a gleam and you only have dreams
of those bright fireworks gone by.
Chorus:
Oh, I could fly as high;
as high as a firework
and touch the sky with my;
my mittened hands.
Saw fires fade and die
but I knew I never would.
I'd rise again just like
the frostbitten land.
