You are one;
life’s begun.
Hope you have a lot of fun.
You are two;
lucky you.
Lots of things to see and do.
You are three;
hee-hee-hee.
Hope your life is filled with glee.
You are four.
I adore
you, each year, a little more.
You are five;
so alive;
sweet as any honey hive.
You are six;
six today.
Oh what naughty tricks you play.
You are seven;
seven you are;
one of heaven’s little stars.
You are eight
and so great
that I want to celebrate.
You are nine
and so fine.
I’m so glad that you are mine.
You are ten
And, you see,
that’s why I love you ten-derly.
