Souls Of The Eternal Lovers

Once there were two flowers; two red roses that bloomed side by side and they’d sway together in the wind and press their leaves together for they were very much in love but then a gardener came along and cut away one of the flowers and, in sadness, the other rose withered and died.
Then, the glittering wheel of reincarnation spinning round and round as it does for all eternity, they were reborn as two little birds and fate somehow brought them together so that they now built a nest in the boughs of an apple blossom tree and sang together all day long until the sun set behind the hills.
But then, a hunter with his bow came along and shot one of the birds just for sport and the other bird, heartbroken, flew down onto the ground and pressed his heart upon the point of the arrow, wounding himself fatally.
Again, the great golden wheel of birth and rebirth spun around and around as the ages moved forward and they were reborn again, those two lovers, but this time as a boy and girl called Karun
and Shara.
Secretly, they would meet each night in the moonlit forest or by the edge of the sea at sunset but, even in that life, they couldn’t escape tragedy for the father and brothers of Shara didn’t want her to see Karun and, when they were secretly married one night, it enraged Shara’s family so much that they killed him with flaming arrows and Shara was so griefstricken when she found out that she threw herself off of a cliff and into the ocean.
Fate would be kind, however, to the souls of these two eternal lovers, for God; stilling the wheel of reincarnation for a moment, lifted their souls up to the heavens so that now they are two bright binary stars shining together in happiness for all time.
