1st Verse:
Far away and long ago
within a land of winter snow,
there was a wizard, don’t you know,
who made a toy tree grow.
He loved little girls and boys
and wanted to give them some toys,
so planted seeds of Christmas joy
and made a toy tree grow.
Chorus:
It grew a hundred stories tall;
a giant Christmas pine
and on its branches there grew dolls
and toys of every kind.
And every Christmas Eve he’d pick
the toys down from the tree
perhaps you’ve guessed, his names St Nick;
Santa to you and me.
2nd Verse:
Loading up his magic sled;
dressed in his suit and hat of red
when all good children are bed
then he flies forth and back
He knows the name of every tot
and whether they’ve been good or not
and slides in through their chimney pots
with presents in his sack
2nd Chorus:
He brings them all good cheer and fun;
a happy Christmas day
and, when old Santa’s work is done,
he flies home in his sleigh.
But as he's flying home he stops;
picks the first star he sees
a star that he puts on the top
of his magic Christmas tree.
