Traffic

Words like traffic rumble
down the information highway;
through the windscreen of my widescreen;
headline headlights in my eyes.

 

Money men and politicians;
like juggernauts, keep honking loudly;
tragedies are road collisions
I see driving by.

 

Bitter life that treacle trickles
forward like a traffic jam;
wasted life that flashes past you
faster than speed cameras click.

 

Where am I, I wonder
on this endlessly unfolding map?
I missed a turning somewhere
but there is no turning back.
