All around he and Zophos, Raider saw the red uniformed robot guards of the Dictatrix Vorgia armed with solid light machine guns aimed at their heads.
"What do I do now?", asked Raider, "We're surrounded"
"Use your warp abilities, ofcourse", said Zophos, "Remember how I told you about the ancient warriors? How they would warp time in battle and slay thirty at a time?".
"But those were legends, Zofos", said Raider,"This is real".
"What should we believe in, Raider, if not tales of hope and courage and that good, over evil, can prevail", said Zofos, "Believe in yourself and you can do the unbelievable".
Drawing his omni tool from its holster; Raider tranformed it, at a thought, into a sword, then focussing as he had done before, suddenly he saw time slow down; a glowing hail of solid light rounds flew towards him from all sides but he danced between them; he deflected them with his sword and, then swinging his blade, he hacked off the robotic limbs and heads of every robot surrounding them.
To Zophos and Vorgia however, watching in normal time, Raider seemed to move like a hurricaine with a sword.
"Impossible", said Vorgia after the human storm had come to rest again, her defeated guards scattered, in pieces, all around.
"Not for a Warp Warrior", said Zophos proudly.
But then, opening her mouth, Zorgia breathed out a stream of blue lightning which, hitting Raider in the chest, knocked him off of his feet and then, before he could get up again she stretched her left hand out and aimed another volley of crackling thunder at him, this time at his legs which, to his horror began to shrink, bend and change shape, becoming, instead of human legs; scaly, octopoid tentacles.
"You may be faster than all of my robots", said Vorgia, grinning, "But your primitive powers are no match for mine or that of my latest toy, the matter transmuter. I'll turn you both into seacreatures, I think and keep you in a tank for my amusement".
Drawing a starpistol, Zophos tried to shoot the evil queen but then she stretched out her right hand and lightning flying from her fingers, she knocked the old man to the ground and, dropping the starpistol, his arm too began changing shape, mutating into a red, lobster like claw.
Raider looked over at his mentor despairingly.
"What was I thinking of trying to fight the ruler of the Galaxy", he thought, "I'm no Warp Warrior, whatever Zophos said. I'm just a loser".
But then, as he was about to surrender all hope, Raider thought he saw something.
On the wall of Vorgias throne room was a mirror and in the mirror was a woman dressed in white and she had written something on the inside of the mirror. What was it?
"Vorgias power is in her crown", it said.
Suddenly, realising what the words meant, Raider reached out his hand towards the Queens crown, warping the space between him and the crown to create waves of gravity and then, just as he had hoped, the crown flew from the head of a startled Vorgia into his grasp.
Without her crown, Vorgia could not mentally control the machines that gave her her power and, knowing that, she quickly turned to run but then reaching for his omni-tool, Raider transformed it into a starpistol, shooting a beam of starfire that went in through the galactic queens back and came out again through her evil heart.
Vorgia fell onto the ground dead, smoke curling from her flaming heart and, looking over at Zophos, Raider saw him smile proudly.
"I knew that you could do it", said Zophos.
But then Raider saw the woman in white again but she had stepped out of the mirror and was walking towards him.
"Thank you", she said as raiders legs slowly returned to their normal human form.
"Who are you?", asked Raider.
"I am the real Queen of this planet; Cythria. Long ago, I made the mistake of creating Vorgia and cursed the Galaxy to years of oppression and suffering but you have set I and the Galaxy free", said Cythria.
Getting back up onto his feet, Raider placed the crown upon Cythrias head.
"I believe that this is yours", he said.
But then he helped Zofos back up onto his feet and taking hold of the Space machine that had brought them there they prepared to return home.
"I can't wait to return to the coucil of Druons", said Zofos.
"Why?", asked Raider.
"Because I have a new legend to tell them", said the old man, "The one of Raider Starson, the Warp Warrior and how he saved the Galaxy".
