What does the Sun dream about?

What does the sun dream about

each time she goes to bed?

All the colours of Africa

fill up her golden head.

She dreams of pretty parakeets,

elephants and giraffes;

chattering chimpanzees and spotted

hyena’s that laugh

and hippopotami

like portly ladies in their baths

then she wakes up, smiling again

on the world's other half.
