1.
I will not smoke; I will not drink;
they’re bad for me, the experts think.
I should do what’s good for my health,
though I’d rather enjoy myself.
Those people who sound like my mum
will spoil my fun for years to come,
treating me like I’m six years old.
I'm sick of doing what I’m told.
Chorus:
So many things you cannot do
whether you're 2 or 22.
I fear that life will be no joy
when I grow up to be a little boy.
2.
I will not look at ladies nude.

I won’t by adult magazines,
even after I turn eighteen.
But where’s the fun in adulthood
if I must go on being good.
If grown up things, I am forbid,
I may as well just stay a kid.
Chorus:
It seems I never will be free
whether I’m 3 or 33.
I fear that life will be no joy
when I grow up to be a little boy.
Bridge:
Anything goes, they used to say
but then they took everything away
and I don’t want to be Peter Pan;
I want to be what I am.. a man.
