Goddess

Sometimes I wake as a goddess
Commanding storms with fistfuls of thunderbolts
Sometimes a wild child
Climbing trees to the stars
Tethering galaxies to earthen dominions
Some days my hair is pure sunshine
My slick skin salted by ocean waves
Some nights I lurk in dark voids
Pupils shining large with lust
A siren voraciously desired
Red-lipped temptress writhing
Lasciviously yearning for admiration
Sometimes I travel inwards
Spinning within orbs of anguish
Swallow raw chunks of emotion
Choking on my own putrid trauma
Belly stretched, aching with regret
But still I continue to wake and rise
Stamp ashes beneath burnt feet
Preen pearlescent plumage
Mount the sky
