'Trust me,' he said 'I'm a gift from God,
no, really, I'm from heaven,' he said
'Yeah right,' she replied.
'I've heard that one before.
You must think I am soft in the head!'
'Did it hurt then?' she asked
'when you fell from the clouds?
Did you land on your head or your feet?'
'I'm fine' he replied 'it's a painless trip.
Can I give you this form to complete?'
'What's it for?' she enquired.
Can you lend me a pen?
Is it questions or multiple choice?
'here's a pencil' he said 'and it's easy enough.
Its just to give mortals a voice.'
So she filled in the form
And she handed it back
And he read it, a frown on his face
'So I'm value for money?' he said as he read,
'but you've ruled out relations in space!'
He smoothed his white dress
as he picked up his harp
flapped his wings and flew up to the sky
and she watched him go higher
'so you think you're God's gift?
Well it has to be said love, nice try!'
