As you coughed and choked,
I laughed and spoke,
I ran away again today.
You screamed and cried,
I ran to hide,
Muffled my ears.
The shrieks of illness,
A woman's madness,
The mind balks.
Balks and squirms. And. And.
Struggles, limp and withers,
When will death, finally, deliver.
