The Iron Lady

She felt no trepidation
The flight was trivial now.
Tepid welcomes on the other side.
By the indigenous tribes
Her fear of unknown is vapoured
For there is not much left to the world unknown
All territories conquered. The troops congratulated. Champagne corks flew around the room.
Yet, yet, yet...
Her heart was heavy
Not with fear but dread
Of something was not quite right
In her disposition.
A commander in chief
She always dreamt of.
She was in command of her army.
Fully.
Her stern look penetrated the walls,
The iron gates.
Her troops at times waded
Through the oceans of might
Lush forests invaded
Through the jungles, the army praded.
Yet, the hearts, the hearts are
Still left unconquered.
Tepid welcomes
On the other side await her.
Perhaps, she should have
Embraced her tender heart.
When she still had the chance.
Too late now.
She is an iron lady, her heart is
Crystallised. Inpenetrable. Unjust.
Breaks innocent lives concuss!
