pearl

before the leaves turn brown
and autumn wears its frown
I would like to be held
in your arms
played perfectly like a gentle lute
caressed in bergamont fragrance,
loved warmly,my smile
crooked but true,not forsaken for
a younger brew
having seen you
you are in the shell of my heart,
words whispered like silken fingers
in life's eternal carnival parade.
I'm full of love
but it's deep beneath
an iceberg that does not melt.
Picture me on a summers day,
of purples and greens,
holding musical hands,
that dreams do make,
I am of many races, am a
daughter of loving union.
I return to the sea,
a roving mistress
having loved and lost,
washing away bitter tears,
the pearl at the centre of my legs,
wants to be touched again with passion
lets leave this dark maze and
embrace love and freedom
