Big Bother: Model Behaviour

So its another year and yet another ambitious person has walked out on the one noone dare to second-guess. Big Brother.
In previous years, ardent Big Brother fans could tell who was likely to give up the glorious opportunity to bag the coveted and enviable 15 minutes of shame, sorry, fame. There were clear-cut signs that build up as time wore on until they culminated in farewell.
This year, however, was an exception. Hardly anyone expected Big Brother to be ditched or had an inkling of the heartbreaker's motives. Even people who swore down that they found the house intolerable, Rex and Dale, so could not wait to be out, were waiting until they were hauled out by Davina.
So why did a housemate who seemed quite at home suddenly decided to go? No, it was not Mo. He had every reason to make a sudden exit. Most people in the house hate his guts, like a dose of poison. He did'nt seem bothered by it though. No amount of hatred meted out towards him was gonna force him to leave all that food and the sofa that he transformed into a bed during the day.
Kat loves her cookies to bits but prefer to simply miss them for the time being. Rachel got the flak everyday from quite a few people, especially Rex, for being pretentious and fake, but she resolved to stick to her guns. Otherwise, her whole show would have been just fruitless and timewasting.
Lisa was doing fine without the compulsive health and safety Mario, and did not miss his daily Not to do List, so it is not her.
As shocked as Darnell was that people could be so fake as to nominate him, his confidence has been restored to an all time high. there was no way he was going to trip by driving a wedge between himself and the one hundred grand. Love him or hate him he is no mug.
It's more likely to be Luke then. For the first time in his life he became besotted with a girl, Bex, even though he had no inkling of how she feels about him. Her departure shook him so violently that the convulsion effortlessly rival that of the recent earhquake in china. Even though he was like a fish out of water without Bex, he was too bessotted with the hundred grand to walk away from it. So shock shock, it was not him.
You will find the revelation far more shocking. It's actually the successful model whose primary motivation for entering the house was to prove that models are more than just a pretty face. I dont know how she expected to accomplished that since only she only sat on the fence throughout.
Infact, I believe as far as Rex is concerned, in addition to Rachel, she was highly likely to be the next housemate he would prefer to exchange for scrabble or a pencil. He probably found her that boring.
Like the formula 1 drivers who always seem to end up at the back of the grid both in qualifying and actual races, she was just making up numbers. She had no issue with anyone outright and she is pleasant and loveable, so it was hardly likely the public would have voted her out over other housemates that it could not tolerate any longer.
In his commentary on the show, former housemate Ziggy, remarked that Maysoon's sudden departure was unsurprising. I would put that down to anything but his inside knowlege. Actually, Ziggy I agree with you. I was not surprised, just shocked. So are numerous other people both in and outside the house.
She did not confide to anyone in the house that she was comtemplating leaving the house. She had no reason to. She liked everyone and she got on well with them. Besides, she had her mission to accomplish. It was not until when she discovered that she, along with the others who broke the nomination rules, would be up for the chop on friday, that she suddenly decided she wanted to go.
I have my theories on the matter. She wanted to avoid the embarrassment and boos that normally await some evictees. Quite a few of the others were favourite to go, but she was convinced otherwise and she was not prepared to gamble.
At the end of the day, she is a successful model. If she could not walk away with the 100 grand, she could atleast walk with her pride and dignity in tact. Sounds sound to me. An eviction would have tarnished her reputation and put her career in tatters. So she thought it was adviseable to take premptive action. If you're in a relationship and you become aware that your partner is on the verge of sensationally dumping you, what would you do? Beat him/her to the push of course.
Alternativley, her agents agreed with the producers that their client would not face the public if she was nominated for eviction. Wise move. Do you recall how Jade Goody's career took a nose dive after she was embroiled in a race row on Celebrity Big Brother.
The moral of the story is that Big Brother can make you, but it can also break you. But dont forget that if you are already made, you are not immune, Big Brother can still make you regret your paths ever crossed.
I do not know whether Maysoon has realized it by now, but even though her stay was shortlived, she has proved that models are more than just pretty faces by knowing when to walk. And walking.
