Hi Lisa
When I first started reading this chapter, I thought it was a previous one - but of course her life was very repetitive. And her need for companionship seems to have outweighed her common sense about the whole thing. I guess she...

Hi Tina
What a beautful tribute to your daughter. So often it is that our children know much more about things than we do, and appreciate them in different ways. I really was moved by this piece.

Hi Bee,
I too could feel your anticipation and then your disappointment, but it must have been lovely seeing your daughter again after all those years. And there will be more occasions, I am sure.

Hi Rhiannon
Nice little Christmas/Easter poem. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Hi Elsie
Sorry it's taken me so long to find this to reply to. I sort of thought you had stopped writing, and never looked to see if it actually happened.

Hi Linda
Good to have a recap of the previous bits of the story. But this is ending up such a bloody mess. I can't see a happy ending in sight.

Hi Bee
I wasn't expecting that ending. But I know the feel of buying things you don't want and need to make you feel better when there is something that upsets you that you can't do anything about.

Hi Elsie
This is a wonderful poem. It starts out gentle and gradually becomes a little worrying, then it goes into the scary bits, and then back again to the gentle. I'll bet it was well received at your reading.

HI Linda
Just a couple of things an American is unlike to say - "ring" somebody. You'd call. "booked" in at a motel - you'd check in.
Still enjoying the story.
