I enjoyed this defence of dragons - thank you for posting it. If you're looking for suggestions, then perhaps it could do with a bit of cutting down - hope that helps
What the others all said - but also, there is something very wonderful about hanging laundry in the garden - the precise order one has to follow, like a counting game, and then taking it back off again when dry. You have reminded me of this all...
I’m very sorry you’re not well Hudson and I hope you improve soon, but to be honest I’m not 100% sorry if it results in a piece of sparkling prose like this. It’s the best thing I’ve seen on ABCTales for a while. Well done!
ok, I've just re-read this part - I do realise this might all change if, as you say, she gets more space in the next parts, but so far she seems to me to be just a foil for gillis - someone to whom he speaks and who occasionally relays...
this is developing at just the right pace - nicely balanced too, between local colour, dialogue and action. So much harder to get right than people think
