My stories

Eden before the fall

In my garden, I walk bare foot Amid the lush green-grass wet with dew. Above are trees standing majestic like fortresses.

2005 the beginning of birth pangs

This poem was born out of the events of the year 2005. Its primarily spoken word poetry for the stage.

Pauline

The night before I tossed and turned Like a barbecued matador awakening all the demons that lurked in the shadows of my dream

Are you feeling me

So you're telling me this is what it feels like to be in LOVE? YES and when you find it peace will flow like a river And your honour will be pure like white satin doves

Tree

You are chained securely, to the mother of your birth by history Wrapped in molten brown skin Battered senseless by opposing forces At times your finger prints leave indelible marks
