I love the Russian doll style
Posted on Sat, 09 Jan 2016
I love the Russian doll style of this, the inside- outness that takes you to that haunting. It works even better for the compact run-on structure - no stanzas or white space. A very novel way of telling history via landmarks.
This is lovely. Seemingly light, an expert of his trade and yet the vulnerability rarely seen. Homelessness is the main political issue that I get on my soapbox about and have to be carried off still yelling about it. Social attitudes in the UK...
And still the world turns. Tilts, to be precise. This is a feast of unexpected imagery and surprising new perspectives on things we know. Deeply sad but has a keen sense of restoration with it.
The antibiotic tea full of mould, the apologetic phonecall, the up before the down - seemingly unrelated until the close. Very well done. We (collectively) join the dots post suicide. A very true piece that does much deeper work than apologies.
Love it. Absolutely love this. It's small, strong, statemented, shapely, says something, carries lots of weight, like the gorgeous mother and babe up there being shocking, like the sharp dual profile of both a baby sucking and a breast.

The visuals scaffold the transitory nature of time with delicacy. A very pretty piece with a Romanticist feel to it.

It's a feast for the eyes. It must have taken some arranging. Has real impact and I like how you've clustered words too.

Welcome to ABCTales. I liked this story, full of sensory detail and the flashback device works well.
