Snow!

Good morning,
we got snow!
And it is beautiful and looks like it is here to stay.
I am just wondering if the north is like the south and grinds to a halt as if its a crisis. Hope I can get to work and I hope you all get some too.

Hannah

I am hoping that forecasts of snow tomorrow will allow me to work from home. Waiting till my boss looks to be in a better mood before I ask.

Completely by luck, I'm working from anyway tomorrow, so I'm alright Jack!
No snow in the north-west, yet. I can't wait, though - take my girl out and have some fun! Hoping to open the curtains tomorrow morning and go, "ahh.." I love the tranquil, timeless quality of a snow covered landscape. Looking forward to the first crunch of ice underfoot - looking back to marvel at my footprint :) There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

Cambridge has had, oh, I reckon about an inch or so, and the whole town has shut down. Cracks me up, this snow crisis. Still, a day off work? The kids outside gleefully making rudimentary snowmen? Soup warming on the stove? I ain't complainin'.
It's snowing, and I'm at work, and even if I did get sent home, I wouldn't get paid, being a temp an' all... bah, humbug! :-/ Still, looks lovely... :-) pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)

It is an absolute christmas card here where I work in Hampstead. We're thinking of going out into our lovely big garden here at mission house to build a snow bishop. jude "Cacoethes scribendi" http://www.judesworld.net

Send us a pic if you manage to build one, Jude! Does that include mitre, chalice, and all?
we have plenty of snow here but we soldier on ... daughter amazed that school not closed and son still expected to chop trees ... hahahaha i am cozy at home in slippers with heating on ...
I don't have any slippers... or a scarf... or a carrot for a snowman's nose... Am I moaning too much? pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)

yes - and I'll join you as there's no snow in Brighton.
It's melting fast in Staines. No snowman for Dan this time.

It was raining here this morning - raining! How boring. ~ www.fabulousmother.com
Awww, Dan. Hey, if you leave the door to the freezer compartment open for a bit... ~ www.fabulousmother.com
You folks are cracking me up. We've had 86 inches since just before Christmas. Near the cabin, we've had 181 inches. Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/

wow, you must have built loads of snowmen

No, but they've been finding them. As it warms up, bodies appear. People out shoveling fall over dead from heart attacks, get covered up and when it starts thawing out, they magically reappear. Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/

Good God Radio, let them enjoy their snow. Snow snob.
2 inches on the ground at 7 o'clock this morning, virtually all gone by 4 this afternoon. Shucks!
