The crisp blue dawn
breathes a sharpened sigh, that,
deep and heavy, drifts
over sleeping rooftops,
unfolds into a thousand
silver grey butterflies
that hover over the dreams
of tired young men,
and shimmer and melt into
pure gold,
spilling over
into a waking clarity moment
that, drifts and clings and fades,
in the shadow of distant stars,
invisible in the day time,
but still there,
hidden in the sky,
waiting.

I realy like how the poem
I realy like how the poem evolves, with each line building on the imagery of the last. You have some really beautiful, delicate imagery here.
silver grey butterflies
that hover over the dreams
of tired young men,
I really like that.

I have to agree with Sun, your imagery is superlative! Especially the description of the silver grey butterflies. Brilliant.
