Amid the early mists
upon a carpet of velvet
sand and salty scents
I stand serene against
my instablity stoic
as the rocks, the
surf soothing over
screams and scars.
I wait alone with
Sticky, stubborn
thoughts and baited
breath until the
sea and sky split
open and release
the billion year
old sun from starry
sepulcher to swaddle
me in sultry morning
light and heat that
slowly blooms into
a field of fire.

Oh... this truly touched me, beautifully written, though for me I found the way you've broken it up stilted the natural cadence of the piece a little. Loved it, thank you for sharing.
