Out Of My Grasp.

Hearts entwined,
Stepping in time,
Hands clasped together,
As light as a feather.
Your eyes are a sparkle of brilliant blue,
I felt the instant lock ,when I looked at you,
I remember that instant connection,
I kept away,afraid of rejection.
Heart racing,
Steps pacing,
Lips lock,
Heart stops.
One small step at a time,
Every day a new mountain to climb,
From the touch of your hand to the feel of your kiss,
Laying in your arms was pure bliss.
Pure passion,
Face ashen,
Mood swings,
A rut begins.
I reached for your hand, you pulled away,
Just the same as yesterday,
Clasping your phone to your ear,
I felt the love disappear.
Suitcase packed,
Husband subtract,
Door slams,
Feelings crammed.
Hearing the sound of your answer phone,
I must face that I'm alone,
Your love is out of my grasp,
Living is my daily task.
