It could be a lovely day today
So warm, so kind, so good
It could be a lovely day
If all the people understood

The world could heal itself today
No wars, no pain, no greed
The world could heal itself
Just through the planting of a seed

If the people of the world could learn
To think of all they do
In terms of how much hurt they cause
For those who live here too

Then today could be a lovely day
The future could be bright
And instead of being blind
We could be living in the light

Hi Sarah and thanks for your very kind words. Yes - wouldn't it be nice to wake up one morning and the news be all good? Wouldn't it be lovely on the way to work to see a man in a business suit bend down to rescue a snail out of harms way? I write this stuff in the hope that one person may read it and make a small change then bring about more change until one day...then I wake up! and think 'Shall I bother posting it? By the time everyone's in from work it will have vanished to page 4 of the Recently Added's never to be opened again. Well shall I?' And then Wow! A comment. Someone has spotted it, what did they say? And there you were, sharing the same thought and wishing for the same thing and I feel I was right to have posted it - thank you. ;-)

And I surely noticed it too and am glad you posted it. Some admirable sentiment here, Jupiter. This particular stanza stands out for me. If only... "If the people of the world could learn To think of all they do In terms of how much hurt they cause For those who live here too" Tina

new jupiter this is how I exactly feel and believe.You have put it to-gether so well papers full lives all exploited about something or someone.So good hear of some young and old doing something good. love the lines When curtains drawn dark and gloomy it's not the weather! its what one does with it.I agree with silver-spun-sand lines too. gods "Light of the world picture" I have from market cheap I asked daughter when small if sees one bless her got it. Hymn . Peace !is like a river flowing from the mountain the wind of the spirit is blowing everywhere. beautiful. we seem so disatisfied unyet some have so much more years back.correct if spelling wrong not in dictionary. julie x me to glad you posted it could we all march change the world! they held peace day other day I couldn't go.

Sorry guys - as you can read in my bio I've been really busy. You have done really well to find this one given it's about page 400 or so on the 'Recently Read' list so well done! Sorry Julie but I will be away for a while - not sure how long but you would be best off finding soneone else to talk to as it could be weeks - just depends how helpful French Telecon are. lol

Hi Magic Just back on a whistle-stop legal stuff tidy up and off again later today once this pc has been collected lol. Wonderful system freecycle! Gave away my car this morning too - they were happy! My brothers tell me it's much easier to be all French in France - bureaucracy wise - it wasn't worth much anyway! I have pretty much cleared out my account on here as on reflection I will be working full time from now on and won't have time to write plus some of it seemed to be getting the editors in a tizz so what's the point in leaving it - it's their domain and I would rather spend my time doing something more productive than arguing. However, it seems we are unable to delete the account header so I thought I may as well leave this one open although I don't anticipate posting here again. Anyway, hope you had a great holiday and good luck in whatever future career you choose.
