Humanity Lost, An Introduction

Dear Reader,
You don’t know me.
I’m neither a celebrity nor rich; nor have I ever achieved anything you would consider spectacular or heroic. I’m not popular nor have I ever had the desire to be so.
These days I consider myself to be a less than average ‘Jo’. A middle aged househusband and father to a wife and two children respectively. Significantly in debt, but with an inherent ability to completely deny that it is, or ever will be, a problem. Limited employment chances. Happy? An intolerable dreamer (think ‘Delboy’ with artistic tendencies), who lacks the patience and probably the talent to make things any more real than just what’s in his head.
In my childhood, certain ‘incidents’ influenced my later life choices, in particular those made in my early and late teens; but it’s not those I will be concentrating upon in my upcoming semi (accept, if you are able, that some changes will be made) autobiography. Instead I’ve decided to focus upon the last nine years; a period in my life that will have an indefinite impact on who I am and what I do. And a period that I hope may interest you.
‘Humanity Lost’, a more than obvious play on the title of Milton’s most famous piece of work, ‘Paradise Lost’. A piece of work, which, in my opinion, provides an interesting illustration of how that even when all seems lost, there always remains hope. Perhaps in writing this autobiography; by lying bare all that I’ve seen and done in the last few years, I’m hoping to find, well, hope. And perhaps by the end I will find it, as Adam does. That no matter your sins, there is always a brighter future. Maybe by the end of the work I’ll re-title it, ‘Humanity Found. Again’.
Anyway, I do hope that you enjoy it.
Kind Regards,

PS. Coming Soon. ‘Humanity Lost, Chapter One, ‘The Hill’.
