Well, I don't know if you know, but Gimme Shelter, the film, is released on DVD this week. It really was a disastrous festival. They say it's when the 60's and flower power ended, Chuck will know, he was there after all. In the 60's, that is.

no I didn't - it's what I thought when I watched the youtube clip - there was some documentary not so long ago about when it all changed - haight ashbury (haven't time to look up sp - am mean to be doing something else) - chuck may not remember - a lot of the people on the documentary didn't remember much either : )

What youtube video are we talking about here? Yes Altamont was the end of the Peace and Love era man but some will say it was just a dream anyway. It did no damage to the Stones' image.
