An Autumn dawn
drenched in filmy mist,
soft as sea spume,
sunlight gently kissed
the morning, until noon.
Burnished bronze
reds afire,
and precious gold,
dress briefly the trees;
berried hedgerow harvests unfold
their treasure among the leaves.
The afternoon’s
smoky air, is nipped
with a rimy feel.
Swiftly the earth is gripped
in anticipation of Winter’s zeal.

This is lovely, Val - I love the rhyme scheme, it really ties the poem together :) Well done!
