Fawn feathered reeds in clumps that stand
Upright in steel-grey frozen pond
And empty footprints in the snow.
A boy, a tawny trotting hound.
Cawing of rooks, excited bark -
Late afternoon in Eastfield Park.

Although I like this, it feels unfinished and like the initial notations of a very promising longer poem. Extend the view, tell us more about the park and the winter... take us on the journey, don't just plonk us there. I look forward to the result :o))
