Love thy sun

When sirens breath fire and ice forms
on words of desire
stars hide behind blossoming clouds
shyly watching as lesser spirits tangle
with greater emotions which have been unbound
gravity holds true as mists rise
dancing tendrils of love and sweetness
mingling with hard hate and bitter loneliness
Yet do we continue this chaotic
sewing and joining
breeding imperfect beings into life
Natures embrace shielding elements
and providing shelter
when dark hounds circle young angels
stealing kicking souls forever
screaming babies dragged down hells face
to oblivion
Would that the sun were the only god
Evolution of faith leading to confusion
and fear as the veil slips further
down down down to where it belongs
on the lips of man
red and bloody wars leaving parched lips
empty bellies and doubt behind
Justification and solace are impure companions
water and oil
when broken hearts no longer beat the drum
for folly
were that time could be reversed
long dead kings on rotten thrones
wise learned men
preaching new meaning to modern hordes
Enough of greed and waste
lend no ears to any fear
face the stars with open eyes
honour the living and the dead
The largest constant is the sun
hovering close yet far
offering nourishment to the lost
over a sea of empty mystery
love thy sun
