The pink lady when I was young
loved playing on the bongo drums
wore a pink scarf like her mum
she thought to her delight
I'll have a go and bang
the gong to-night
In the days of films
Rank organization
at the start of the film
The muscle man came out
swinging his arms
and would bang the gong
When I went to Pride one year
a green car appeared
the driver sitting near the gears
didn't know which way to go
although he knew
the Green Cross Code
Preston Park everything was going on
men in disguises and fancy dress
singing and dancing
high heeled shoes
and long eye-lashes
Suddenly
back came
the man in the green car
but sitting beside him
was the pink lady
with her bouffant hair
Long dangled earrings
swung back and forth
Around her wrist
the bracelet of
'snakes' all in a twist
all he wanted was to bend
and have a kiss
Looking like a star
stepped out
her dress slit up the sides
sat on the seat
holding the bongo drum
Pounding the beat
dum' dee' dum'
between her knees
the dress up to her bum
with the divulging
'low cut' for everyone
Uh' uh' um'
No wonder poor Charlie
forgot his Green Cross Code
his eyes goggled
heart beat so fast!
'dum did de dum dum ...dumm'
Oh! dear my poor ears
set my hearing aid off whistling
I could scream
