A SUMMER LOVE (INSPIRATION POINT)

Earth, sun, heaven, moon,
send your spirit to the coomb,
valley of beauty. vale so fair,
the flowers growing everywhere.
Dappled shade, in the glade,
the damselfly, its eggs it layed.
Down by the flowing stream,
is where I love to go and dream.
As I sit here, with eyes closed,
I tell the Weeping Willow all my prose.
My welsh gypsy remember when,
we walked this way, I loved you then.
We sat here quietly under this tree,
you said that you would always love me,
but I'm afraid it was not to be,
another maiden took you from me.
I still remember those quiet times,
those poems you wrote, they were sublime.
Our hearts were beating, the birds were singing,
we held each other with love and feeling.
With each word of this poem I write,
I think of your smile, it brightens my life.
Though those days have long gone,
the memories of you still linger on.
