Time terrifies
shakes me to the
rawest nerve
it took me
and punished
for all the past that I did wrong.

Time it runs on and on
it has this power
to cover you
immerse you
in waters, fountains
drowning you lavishly in fear.

Time emotionless
it's strength
a simple, basic
binary code
of life
an eternal rhythmic pulse.

Time wraps it's hands
around your neck
stifles any living
hope or desires
a lost contest
victorious, the devil in disguise.

I really like this Louise, especially these lines, "cover you immerse you in waters, fountains drowning you lavishly in fear." and the third verse is more than good, I.M.O.:} You are very spare with punctuation, is this intended?

Thank you shoe, yes I only use it when I really need it, bit naughty I know, but it's how I like it, it's my own personal preference, I like to see writing where there are gaps and lines dropped. Sometimes I use full punctuation, although I try not to :)I am a big Adrienne Rich fan to be honest. Ooooh to be able to write like her, would be wonderful! Thank you for your comment :)
