Winter playlist

The thought of the coming winter

Sends chills down my spine

The cold is not what scares me

But with it are memories entwined.

Last winter was a lot warmer

Than this promises to be;

The cold is the same now

Familiar is the chilly breeze.

The snow is always iffy,

Whatever the Mets say.

But there was that warm hand to hold onto

Come what may.

And yet those times will never return,

Any hopes of reconciliation

Are now forever gone.

All that now remain with me

Are memories of last winter,

And your winter playlist to hum alone.
