The sun melts like Orange ice
Behind the steel grey line
The evening air-brush painted
Into the lofty sky
One by one the stars appear
I shed my clothes
Leave them on the shoreline
I step into the darkened water
Where my hair floats like seaweed
And my eyes are washed with salty tears
Above me the night floods the heavens
Spreads like ink on silk
Cleansed from all my sorrows
I walk from the white capped waves
Leaving my footprints in the sand
I travel toward the future

You paint a wonderful picture, Geertje.
It is full of stunning imagery, but for me, the most effective line is this:-
"Spreads like ink on silk..."
Simply beautiful.

As to your comment above, Geertje...in my book, this one's 'ten out of ten' quite literally;-)

ScoZen Hello

Hello Geertje.
Totally agree with S/S/Sand & Luigi
I was going to pick out a line that I liked.
But struggled as I enjoyed every bit of this.
Regards
