Prairie roads

driving down this dusty road
hear a soft song on the radio
remine me of Prairie roads
as the daylight sun goes down
dust and dusk are all around
go pass things of the past
drivng down this old road
old farm buildings
all alone
loney homes
no one home
see a house
on its own
washing blowing
in the breeze
but it will
never get clean
due to the dust you see
Prairie roads of long ago
people try to farm them
but the kids all grew up
bank took the farm
it was such a hard life you
know
think back to long ago
so many bits of old things around
look over yoner a very small towns
see old ladies chatting to eachother
hair all white dress of lace
oh men sitting rocking away
chatting about the day
Prairie roads of long ago
people try to farm them
but the kids all grew up
bank too the farm
it was such a hard life you
know
think back to long ago
driving down this dusty road
hear a soft song on the radio
remine me of Prairie roads
