A Northerly Breeze

A northerly breeze
brings a chill to the air
but a pair of lovebirds,
entwined in the twilight,
don’t care.
They bask in the heat
generated by kisses
and intimate embraces.
As the setting sun sinks
in the ocean’s expanse
it modestly blushes
at the sight of their capers
and its reddish glow
reflects in their faces.
Now darkness descends
and the zephyr blows harder.
The nip in the air
may cool the ardour
of our lustful lovers
who still have the choice
to continue their affair
in relative comfort
in bed, under covers.

This is delightful, Luigi. Certainly it's up there with one of my many favourites of yours. Well done on the richly deserved cherry. And now it's time for me to cover the cage, and say 'night-night', to my two lovebirds, of the feathered kind, naturally.

Really pleased to hear that, Luigi.
I still treasure my copy of 'Reflections', and often dip into it. I shall also peruse the Gold Dust link and hope that many more will do likewise.
Have a good week;-)
